This move is like so complicated it could have whole website of its very own nevermind a page. The timing required is split second; stance, footwork and control are all hugely important as well, with virtually no margin for error. You need to be doing the multiple beat move mentioned above, pretty much both ways before attempting this. Notice the timing of the start off point. Try it. One way or another you are gonna get hit in the face or the back of the head. So use some soft Poi while you are learning it. Be patient too. You are now working on the very edge of your body's twistability (new word) and you need to be mindful of this. I don't want to put you off obviously (or I wouldn't be putting it on a website) but this kind of complex move has the potential to do damage to your body through twisting injuries. Dont be going getting annoyed and just making the things go round even though you know its wrong. You will end up making your spine do things that it just isnt designed to do. |
