Its pretty much self explanatory this one isn't it? The main stumbling block that people experience is that they don't commit into the move. As soon as it leaves thier field of vision, the sensible part of their brain slams the brakes on. This is unfortunate, as when the poi leave the field of vision they are in a prime position to come straight down and sandwich the persons head. The thing to do is commit and put your hands behind you. Even if you just do it and leave them there to tangle, they are less likely to hit you in the head and you will have done half the move. This move will feel messy at first and nowhere near the vertical plane (as it should be.) Persist though, get comfortable in your repetition and start to feel the Poi in your fingers, just nudge them this way or encourage them that way every now and then. Before you know it the move is yours forever... Enjoy. |
